He was born in Dorchester, but moved to Newton at the age of 5 where he started school at our very own Countryside Elementary! It was scary for him at first, but once he joined CCC's after school program he finally felt included. He made plenty of new friends, many of which he still has today! In his free time he loves to play sports. Every type of sport is a hobby of his because he enjoys staying active. Jesse grew up on the beaches of Rhode Island and in the mountains of West Virginia.  He attended Boston University for piano performance and earned his degree in Music Education.
He spent a handful of years as Director of Music at Hinsdale High School in New Hamphire and discovered the CCC in 1997.

Jesse enjoys his time outside - on the trails, hiking, on his mountain bike and on the windsurfer.  His travels include many of the national parks in the lower 48 and Hawaii. If you're looking for Jesse outside of CCC, he will most likely to be found in the woods or on a trail with his new furry friend named Kåla.

Michele was raised in Newton Upper Falls. Her Grandchildren make the fourth generation to be raised in the home! Michele has worked at CCC for over sixteen years and loves her job. Meeting new children every year is so exciting as is seeing a young adult that once was a student at CCC. The dream Michele has for herself is to own a home within walking distance of the ocean, which is so relaxing.

Edward Tsui, Educator

This will be Edward's fourth year working at CCC. He was born in Hong Kong, but moved to America at an early age. He graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2014 with a major in Illustration and a minor in Drawing and is now going back to get a Masters of Art in Teaching at MassArt. Elizabeth Laws, Educator

In her spare time, Liz likes to hang out with celebrities and take boomerang videos of her dog. When she isn't at CCC, you can assume that she is out searching for extraterrestrial life.

Elegant, Laughs a lot, Intelligent (very), Zany, All about having fun, Bashful I am Not, Eccentrically Easygoing, Terrifically enthusiastic, Humorous!

Jenna Ernst, Kindergarten Coordinator, Administrative Assistant

Jenna started working at CCC after she gratuated from the University of Rhode Island in 2014 with a BA in Psychology. After her second year at the center, she became the Kindergarten Coordinator as well as Administrative Assistant. She's grateful for the opportunity to be able to teach children in a setting such as CCC, where they're encouraged to express themselves and explore their unique interests. When she's not at the center, you'll most likely find her on a beach somewhere or with her handsome dog, Brick.

Laura Davis, Bookkeeper

Laura joined our wonderful program in the summer of 2006. Laura graduated with a BS from UMass Boston and earned her MBA from Suffolk University. After 8 years of working full time in the healthcare industry, Laura decided to pursue smaller accounting and bookkeeping gigs that allowed her to spend more time with her two children and husband. She also volunteers at her kids' schools.

Melissa Gavell, Off-Site Administrative Assistant

Melissa has been working at CCC since 1990. She earned a BS from Lesley University in Human Development and Family Studies, with a minor in Education. She was our Kindergarten Coordinator for quite some time, but now she has taken a full time job as a lead preschool teacher at The Children's Workshop! Since we can't let her go completely, she is still doing some crucial work for us off-site. She is married to Jim, her best friend of 20 years, and together they have two lovely children, Brea and Jack. Her hobbies include painting, sewing and spending time with family and friends.
